Message from the Curator – Mohanapriyan Thavarajah

Darshana 2025 marks the eighth year of this intimate dance series, a journey that has featured 25 exceptional artists over the years. Rooted in the ethos of ancient Indian art spaces, Darshana fosters a deep and meaningful connection between performer and audience—a shared experience of Sahrdaya, where emotion, artistry, and expression unite.

Each year, Darshana also shines a spotlight on the next generation of talent through Yuva Mahotsav, a special edition dedicated to aspiring young dancers. This platform nurtures emerging artists, providing them an opportunity to present their artistry with depth and individuality.

This year, we continue this tradition by celebrating the brilliance of Singapore’s senior artists through solo presentations, each curated with a distinctive theme. As we step into another chapter of this artistic voyage, I invite you to immerse yourself in these evocative performances, where every movement tells a story and every moment resonates beyond the stage.
